July 3, 2016 - A Week Later.

We just got back from a week away.  I weeded and pruned everything before I left but came back to a jungle.  What a difference a week makes!
The tomatoes are almost 6 feet. 3 zucchini and a yellow squash were the perfect size for picking. Lots of fruit non the tomato and pepper plants!

June 17, 2016 - Photo Update

My notes:

The first green Polverini tomato has arrived.

Both squash plants have little fruits, shouldn't be long until the we are grilling zucchini.

Many of the peppers have fruit, some of the banana peppers are getting big!

Two of the Lima Beans are climbing fast, but the rest were eaten by something.

The sage needs to be weed whacked it's gotten so big.

The garden is looking great.  A few of the pepper plants are already fruiting, the tomatoes are growing fast, and the herbs are insane!

May 19, 2016 - Garden is Planted

The garden finally was planted today.  I have been hardening off the plants for over a week now during the unusually cool May.  Sunday and Monday nights were down to the upper 30s so I had to wait out the last cold night.

In addition to the seeds I purchased several plants from Zerns market in Boyertown.  They were so cheap it was hard to resist.

In all my garden this year contains:

18 pepper plants:
- 4 Cherry Peppers
- 4 Italian Roasters
- 4 Bell Peppers
- 2 Cheyenne
- 3 Hot Wax
- 1 Hungarian Wax

8 tomatoes:
- 4 Polverini  Ox Hearts
- 1 Black krim
- 1 Golden Yellow
- 1 Orange
- 1 Cherry

2 Cucumber
1 Zucchini
1 Yellow squash
3 Doc Marten Lima Beans
3 Green Beans

April 24, 2016 - Bigger Pots

I spent some time today transferring the tomatoes from their original 4" flats to individual 6" pots.  They desperately needed some more space, and hopefully this will works for the last few weeks indoors.

A few of the plants even have flowers starting alread!

April 9, 2016 Tomato Update

I'm not sure why the basil is starting to get brown on the lowest leaves, but I'm getting concerned as most of the basil has this and seems stunted.

I may also have to repot the tomatoes soon. They are getting big and with the snow today they are not getting planted into the garden any time soon.
